It runs our family's trucks. Now it can run yours.
I'd rather tell you where Sanilog comes from than sell you on it. It says more about how we'll treat you than any feature list could.
Sanilog is a family business. My father-in-law, Andrew, has run a portable sanitation fleet for years, and he still runs it today; he and his team work off Sanilog every day. I'm Alex. I spent more than a decade building software for online stores and banks, and at some point I decided to switch and do something of my own, something real, with my hands on it every day.
Andrew ran the whole operation on paper, in Google Sheets, and across WhatsApp threads nobody could find twice. It worked, but it was a lot of manual work, and things slipped: a slot double-booked, a pickup that ran a day late, no map to see the day on, just line items in a book. The software that already existed didn't fit either. It was expensive for a small or mid-size operator, and packed with far more than we'd ever use.
So we built our own, and we took our time. Two years of trial and error, with Andrew's real fleet as the test track, the business we actually run every day, not a demo. Every route, every invoice, every bad Monday went back into the product. We only opened it up when we started feeling proud of it instead of embarrassed. We care about the small things, in the software and in the service, because that's the whole job.
A few things matter to us, and I'd rather just tell you than put them behind a sales call. We think you should pay for trucks that are actually working. Park one for the season, put one on long-term service, hand one to a renter, mark it parked, and the unused days come back as credit toward next month. It earns us nothing extra; we just think it's the honest way to price a fleet, and we haven't seen anyone else do it. Our full price is on the pricing page too, one plan, everything included, no quote to request. And because starting out is when every dollar hurts, new operators get generous startup credits, real room to run on us while you find your feet. There are no rigid limits either; if you need something, just talk to us. We were small once, and we haven't forgotten it.
We also want to leave the yard cleaner than we found it, so from our first day, 1% of all the money Sanilog makes goes to clean water and safe sanitation for people who don't have it, through charity: water. Not a campaign, just a standing order.
And here's the part I mean most. If you come on with us, I'll give you my personal number. If a truck is due out at five and something breaks at two, you call me. That's what family-owned is supposed to mean.
We're still small, and we're taking our time to be genuinely good at this. I hope you'll give us a try. Whenever you're ready, we'll be here.
Yours, Alex
